Robert C. Lightburn is of counsel to the firm and concentrates on estate planning and related tax issues. Mr. Lightburn has an extensive tax background working with individuals, trusts, and estates, as well as limited liability companies, partnerships, S Corporations and C Corporations. His experience was gathered during his 30 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a tax practitioner, the last 21 as a tax partner.

Mr. Lightburn is currently an adjunct professor at American University in the Kogod School of Business. He has spoken and taught in numerous forums on tax and business law subjects. Mr. Lightburn received his JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1977. He is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and licensed to practice in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Georgia.
